The two-year Masters Program is the premier professional course for architecture in Singapore. Coursework is research-driven and industry oriented for graduates to thrive in a professional landscape that is constantly evolving.
Graduates are equipped with design-research capabilities necessary for critical practice in architecture worldwide.
Learning is transdisciplinary with an architecture focus whilst seeking new perspectives on emerging issues. Masters projects form a collection of competing theoretical positions relevant to architectural discourse and define the design culture of the architecture school.
The design research studios are experimental in nature and incorporate a range of investigative tools in design inquiry on contemporary issues communicated in spatial and material exploration.
Project vehicles are diverse and student led. Topics can originate from research groups or from industry including private and public enterprise and reflect the collaborative mode of the profession. Students from varying nationalities and backgrounds are guided by a team of experienced and accomplished researchers and critical practitioners with international experience.
Overseas sites provide rich diversity in political, cultural context and in challenges of scale and complexity and students have opportunities for travel, internship and overseas exchange.
