Acclaimed architect Richard Rogers dies at 88

British architect and Pritzker Prize laureate Richard Rogers has passed away at the age of 88, on December 18, 2021.
Rogers was the founding partner of the awarded firm Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, with offices in London, Paris, Sydney, Shanghai, and New York. He was involved in almost all kinds of projects, including Terminal 4 Airport in Madrid, The Lloyd’s Building in London, The Leadenhall Building in London, The Centre Pompidou in Paris, among many others.
In addition to the Pritzker Prize won in 2007, Rogers was also laureated with different recognitions such as The Royal Gold Medal for Architecture, The Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation Medal, the Arnold W. Brunner Memorial Prize, among others.
Thanks to his avant-garde and high-tech architecture, Richard Rogers was considered one of the most relevant architects from the past decades, and a huge influence for the new generations.
