The lecture aims to introduce a series of collective initiatives in the city of Barcelona, new forms of institutional and non-institutional organisations addressing global problems through local agendas and direct actions. In response to urban challenges in a context of systemic crisis, cities have become a battlefield for their solution, or survival.
Community Infrastructures are emerging experiences and political devices, such as energy communities or housing cooperatives, proposing formal and conceptual strategies to reinforce alternative models of collective life. New protocols and spaces of operation to redefine the relation between architecture, cooperativism and citizenship participation.
