In this Sustainable Environmental Design keynote lecture, Manit Rastogi will speak on Morphogenesis’ endeavour to build resilient and sustainable communities through its copyrighted design process SOUL© – Sustainable, Optimised, Unique, and Liveable.
The pandemic is an opportunity to build long-term societal and environmental resilience to weather against any disruption. As we move from rapid response to thoughtful recovery, we need to find solutions to newer problems of migrant workers, transportation and density-oriented cities. It is crucial to consider the long-term value creation of urban infrastructure, the resurgence of local and self-reliant craft-based communities and create a framework that promotes sustainable development and well-being.
Manit Rastogi (BArch, AADipl (Hons), GradDiplDist(AA), FRSA, FIIA, RIBA Chartered Architect) is a Founding Partner of Morphogenesis and a Managing Partner of Morphogenesis Education. He studied at the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, and the Architectural Association. He is the Co-Founding Partner of Morphogenesis, one of the largest Architectural Firms in India. Morphogenesis has recently been awarded copyright for its Design Process, SOUL©, an acronym for Sustainable, Optimised, Unique, and Liveable. He is the founder member of The GRIHA Council, India’s Green rating system, an author of 850+ publications and journals and a winner of over 110 global awards.
