Quantifying & Documenting Environmental Impacts

Quantifying and documenting environmental impacts of side-by-side design alternatives: recent changes to formal NAAB accreditation.

This workshop will address recent changes to formal NAAB accreditation conditions in all U.S. Collegiate Architecture Programs. Students must now demonstrate how they consider the measurable environmental impacts of their designs. This workshop will focus on the fundamental techniques of A/B comparisons in an architectural design project and help students properly evaluate and recommend design interventions based on their own digital workflows. These methods for assessing and deciding between alternative systems and components over their life cycles can be applied to other issues in a design project including structural, operational energy, cost, and any other key performance based parameters.

This workshop is complementary and is part of the eLCAd2022 Symposium.

You will have access to this workshop ONLY and not the full eLCAd2022 program.
